The Challenge

How do we transform existing homes to be more resilient to bushfire?

The Canberra Region Joint Organisation (CRJO) asked Edge Impact to help them determine the current and future natural hazard adaptive capacity of the Canberra Region’s current housing, develop a change plan that supports homeowners to act and create and deploy the Canberra Region Joint Organisation Climate Resilient Housing Toolkit.

Key Deliverables

1/5
Busfire hazard mapping and vulnerability assessment
Climate ready-home specification
Behaviour change strategy
Brand development and toolkits for industry, residents and councils
Communication assets including film and social media

The Approach

This project focused on assessing and building the bushfire resilience of different dwelling types across the region.
